The Pro Roster

A sample of work done for various clients.

Original artwork for the short film “Bruising For Besos” (2012). I was hired to provide character designs for the film’s originally planned animated segments.

Death’s Day

Character design art for the indie pilot “Death’s Day” for which I was brought in to work as a conceptual designer and storyboard artist.

Winner of “Best Original Game” at 2007’s KublaiCon games convention, “Unearth” is a Mesoamerican-themed archeological adventure card game where players explore lost temples overcoming various obstacles and traps in order to uncover the rarest, most precious artifacts.

Rare photograph of a promotional mural painted outside the main alleyway leading to the club Azul (formerly 1 Tillman Place, San Francisco). It welcomed patrons off the main street to the club doors for over a year. If I had to pick a name for it, “Nightlife” would surely be it.

ALBUM COVER ART

  • Original cover artwork for “En el Pais de la Vida” by Eleazar Cortes, published by Oregon Catholic Press.

  • Album cover art for “Pueblo de Dios” by Eleazar Cortes, published by Oregon Catholic Press.

Logo Design

  • A prime example of free form experimentation at play; going from light beams to a diamond shape, to finally a more layered design for a high end security shield logo.

  • Always a favorite logo concept for a family member in the recording industry. Helping shape his personal product symbol was a great lesson in early online conferencing together.

  • My own personal brand name, seen here in its first iteration from college. Sadly, the name “CreArte” would end up taken in the ensuing years, and the old logo concept would be put to rest.

  • Here’s a neat play on Mesoamerican pictographs that can be incorporated into a futuristic design. Oftentimes the most forward-looking ideas can be found by looking back.

  • These Aztec-inspired logos were concepts for a signature stamp used for the board game “Unearth.” Though it went unused in the finished game prototype, a good exercise in simplifying a name down to two letters incorporated into the aesthetic.

  • Not surprisingly, working on a game stamp yielded what would become the official title logo for “Unearth.” You never truly know where or when great ideas will stand out.

  • Concepts for an online software logo that incorporated the initials H-I-G. The finalized blue image on the lower right was made digitally.

  • Initial design of a brand logo for what was originally titled “Nosedive Productions.” The general idea for the image was to promote an “all or nothing” attitude.
